The Adzope Gold Project comprises three permits covering approximately 826km² in southern Côte d’Ivoire within the highly prospective Birimian greenstone belt.
Exploration initially focused on the King Kong prospect in the northeastern portion of the project, where ground geophysics, soil sampling, auger drilling and diamond drilling identified a significant gold system associated with northeast-southwest trending structural corridors.
Diamond drilling at King Kong returned multiple high grade gold intersections including 17m at 7.5g/t gold, 3m at 20.6g/t gold and 2m at 16.9g/t gold. High grade gold mineralisation has now been intersected over a strike length of more than 1.4km, confirming the potential for a significant gold system. The broader King Kong trend forms part of a +3.0km interpreted gold corridor that remains open and includes multiple priority targets for future drilling.
The project also hosts the +2.1km cross-cutting Beach zone, where extensive artisanal workings indicate significant gold potential. This area remains largely untested by drilling and represents a priority target for future exploration.
Recent exploration has identified the Nyan Prospect, a major new +7km gold-in-soil anomaly located directly along strike from King Kong. Soil sampling returned peak values of 6.04g/t gold and 3.63g/t gold and defined two high grade zones within a large mineralised footprint. Nyan remains entirely untested by drilling and will be advanced through additional sampling, geophysics and a maiden aircore drilling program.
Permit-wide stream sediment sampling has also been completed across the project to identify additional targets beyond King Kong, supporting Desert Metals’ strategy of systematically assessing the broader Adzope Project for new gold discoveries.
